In order to improve living conditions in rural areas of India, we are working with the "Bright Future" project to supply remote areas with solar energy.
What we do
The project aims to install integrated household energy systems in a total of 219 households in the remote villages of Baghamara in Odisha, India. These include the installation of solar lighting and a solar charging station for mobile phones.
In addition, awareness campaigns will be conducted to educate communities about the benefits of clean energy and reduce the use of kerosene-fuelled lamps. By implementing these measures, we aim to make a sustainable change that goes beyond the provision of light and strengthens the local economy.
Project goals
Provision of high-quality basic solar lighting and solar charging stations for 219 households in each of the remote villages of Baghamara
Raising community awareness of the importance of clean energy and reducing the use of kerosene-fuelled lamps
Improving educational opportunities for children by ensuring reliable light for homework and studies
Increase economic opportunities by introducing solar solutions that meet local needs
Reducing health risks by reducing household air pollution and promoting healthier lifestyles
Project partner
The project in India is implemented by our local project partner SURAKHYA and monitored by ChildRightNow International.
