What we do
In the slums of Jakarta and Banten, Indonesia, the well-being and educational opportunities of primary school children are limited. The Bright Futures, Clear Vision project aims to solve this problem by providing computers, eye tests and glasses for these children, thus giving them a better future.
The Bright Futures, Clear Vision project is implemented in close cooperation with schools in the slums of Jakarta and Banten. The main objective of the project is to improve the well-being and educational opportunities of primary school children in these disadvantaged communities. This involves providing schools with desktop computers to ensure that students have access to educational resources and can develop their digital skills. At the same time, the project recognises the importance of vision in school performance and provides comprehensive vision screening and glasses for primary school children in need. This enables the children to better focus on their lessons and reach their full academic potential.
In addition, the project aims to strengthen communities by providing relief to low-income families and promoting equal opportunities. It aims to overcome educational barriers and make it easier for children to participate in school activities. With long-term positive change in mind, Bright Futures, Clear Vision will sustainably improve the lives of primary school children in the slums of Jakarta and Banten, providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world and advance their personal development.
